Hhaillaa (pronounced Hi-Luh) is an artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her practice is heavily influenced by memory; some personal, some ancestral and some that are of galactic origin.

Avant/free jazz movements of the 60’s and 70’s (from the likes of Alice Coltrane, Sun Ra, Pharoah Sanders and Anthony Braxton to name a few) have had a deep impact on the way Hhaillaa bridges her worlds together. Welcome to the realm!
